I’m Prayin’ … what’s Hinderin’?

The Bible says: Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
But it also says: And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
The Bible says: We do not know what we ought to pray for.
But it also says:  But the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express.
The Bible says: Be JOYFUL in hope. Be PATIENT in affliction.
But it also says: Be FAITHFUL in prayer.
The Bible says: Devote yourselves to prayer.
But it also says: Be watchful and thankful.
The Bible says:  Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
But it also says: With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for ALL the saints.
The Bible says: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition present your requests to God.
But it also says: With thanksgiving.
The Bible says: I want men everywhere to lift up holy hands in prayer.
But it also says:  Without anger or disputing.
The Bible says: The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.
But it also says: Therefore, confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.
The Bible says: For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and His ears are attentive to their prayer.
But it also says: But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.
The Bible says:  And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites.
But it also says:  This is how you should pray: “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.'”

John R Rice said: Is there nothing between your soul and the Savior? Have you humbly searched your heart anew in the light of God’s Word, and found nothing to hinder your prayers? Oh, then, dear Christian, enter into your inheritance and begin the abundant life of prayer, asking and receiving that your joy may be full!
Well, I realize through much soul searching (and the Word of God) that there some things in my life that are often hindering my prayers.

Now, for the boldness and discipline, with the grace of God, to remove these hindrances (Heb 12:1) and enter into my inheritance and begin the abundant life of prayer!
